Youth is a secret “private garden” where buds first open, full of intense curiosity and longing. Yet under social norms and the moral gaze, desire is often tied to secrecy and shame, so that exploring oneself comes mixed with unease and guilt. Through erotic works in many dimensions, the exhibition gives form to the stirrings, shame and fantasies hidden in the dark, and invites viewers into this private garden to tear off moral labels and look again at how adolescence gropes towards the body and desire. Desire is like a flower: it blooms in its season — it need not be hidden in shame, nor wither under repression.
