The contradiction of nature being treated as a commodity is presented through the stark contrast between an open birdcage and a bird with a discount tag. Although the door is open, the bird seems to be holding its breath, revealing how cruel the conditions of "freedom" we create are. When the value of life is placed under a price tag, nature quietly expresses its pain.
