Pigo Lin

Pigo Lin, born in 1984, is a Taiwanese artist who focuses on creating erotic art that clashes with traditional aesthetics. His works incorporate numerous elements of erotic art and surrealist vocabulary, presented in a colorful and vibrant comic book style.

"I enjoy admiring beautiful bodies."

In Asian cultures, physical desires and aesthetics are often discussed in a repressed, obscure, or shameful manner.

My work is not intended to advocate for sexual autonomy or liberation; that is neither my profession nor a mission I can undertake. What I present on paper is simply the process of confronting my own desires.

Sex and Eroticism – Sex can be both dissected and combined; it is the simplest yet most difficult act.

It involves complex physical and psychological aspects and must be completed under various challenges and situations.

Sex is not just a biological instinct; after being recognized as a human right, it has also become a transcendent existence.

Eroticism is a sensory language that can be active or passive; it is a product of the coexistence of primitiveness and civilization.

Through imagination, writing, delving deeper, detaching, and falling back in, I felt as if I were experiencing a first bliss.

Under the naked light and darkness, even the most subtle emotions can be magnified: good and evil, beauty and ugliness, purity, shame, and unbearable. I built a paradise of my own, where I shared pleasure with my fantasy lover, and where I also understood myself—my essence is composed of raging waves and intricate undercurrents.


I admit these works stem from my desires. In fact, I would much rather put them into practice in reality. Those intense, tangled, slowly tightening emotions almost suffocated me. Before that, I could only paint them, allowing the serpentine desires to loosen slightly, enabling me to take another breath.
