"Gazing at the moment time stood still amidst the embers of the celebration"

I wanted to capture that stillness in my painting. It was the first moment forgotten after the splendid celebration. And this duality has always deeply fascinated me. Against the backdrop of darkness, the cake no longer symbolizes sweetness, but proof of what has vanished. The extinguished candles still retain a trace of blue memory, but that light is now tinged with coldness. In the instant the smoke stops rising, I see the edge of time. The cake in the painting carries the weight of what has already passed—warmth, laughter, and the silence they left behind. Between joy and emptiness, between beginning and end, between life and oblivion, my gaze lingers here—in that fragile crevice.
