Today it is the Xinyi Public Assembly Hall and the Military Dependents’ Village Culture Park, at No. 50, Songqin St., Xinyi Dist., Taipei, next to Xinyi Elementary School. The site includes a village heritage hall (Building B). Surrounded by high-rises, it keeps another layer of the city’s memory, and makes a good warm-up before the museums: a glimpse of Xinyi’s old and new side by side.
According to the Taipei City parks office, the culture park is about 240 metres from MRT Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station. For opening hours, closures and events, please refer to the official sources: Taipei Travel | Xinyi Public Assembly Hall and Taipei City parks office | Military Dependents’ Village Culture Park (Chinese).
Stop 1: Fubon Art Museum
Fubon Art Museum opened in Xinyi, Taipei, in May 2024. It was designed by Pritzker Prize laureate Renzo Piano’s practice RPBW together with Kris Yao | Artech, and is RPBW’s first work in Taiwan as well as one of the three main buildings of the Fubon A25 complex. The museum focuses on modern and contemporary art under the motto “Art Every Day”.
According to the museum, the building was conceived as an “urban forest”, with generous greenery and a pool outside and soft daylight brought into the third-floor galleries. After your visit, linger outside for a moment before moving on.

On the way: from Fubon Art Museum toward Yongchun Station
From Fubon Art Museum, head east toward MRT Yongchun Station. No venue publishes an official walking time for this stretch, so please follow a map app for the route and timing. The streetscape gradually shifts from the large buildings of the Xinyi Planning District to quieter residential lanes, a slower pace that lets the first exhibition settle in and leaves room for the next one.
