It has nothing left to give, only itself.
I wonder if a rock has ever been curious about what it feels like to be a piece of fruit.
This work began with that thought—a rock that had already been taken a bite out of.
It lost a part of itself, yet it still exists.
I am fascinated by those moments when, even after being exhausted, one still chooses to continue giving.
When we have nothing left to give, the only thing we can offer is ourselves.
Love, time, expectations, and existence all leave marks on us, and we cannot walk through it all unscathed.
This work was inspired by the feelings evoked by Beabadoobee's song "Take a Bite." It is not about the story of the song itself, but rather the quiet yet profound realization within it—every act of giving changes who we are in the end.
