About the artist
RAKI is a contemporary artist from Manila, the Philippines, known for vivid cartoon characters and a pop-culture aesthetic that blends comics, animation, street art and subculture. Bright colour fields, flat backgrounds and simple yet expressive lines create a tension between innocence and cool detachment; the shy smiles and calm eyes of his characters mirror the mix of optimism and loneliness in city life.
