About this work
The Six of Wands represents victory and recognition — effort rewarded with public acclaim. CASIMIR reinterprets the card with his intricate, ornate linework and female figures, weaving together plants, symbols and esoteric imagery.
Tarot meaning
Upright: victory, recognition, success
Reversed: arrogance, lack of recognition, a fall
→ Tarot Minor Arcana meanings (Swords, Cups, Wands, Pentacles)
Riding a grey horse, a blonde figure in yellow lace lifts a staff crowned with a laurel wreath and a streaming red ribbon. A huge oxblood disc fills the sky behind her. Five more golden staffs rise from the field, pale deer and goats gather at both lower edges, and blue butterflies drift over a carpet of orange blooms.
“Six of Wands” is a limited-edition print from CASIMIR's Tarot of Drifting Life (塔羅浮生) series, 45.7 × 75.9 cm, edition of 100 (50 released). View it in person by appointment at Neverland Gallery, Xinyi, Taipei.
