About this work
Soft-focus airbrush renders a plump red creature with an opening at the top of its head and blue eyes glancing aside — a goofy portrait of having an empty head.
“Head Empty” is an original artwork by Nav Matito (2026), 12 × 12 inches. View it in person by appointment at Neverland Gallery, Xinyi, Taipei.

Head Empty｜Head Empty
I have been thinking about the pressure of always needing to know what step to take next.
There must be a plan; there must be an answer.
But some days, not knowing the answer is enough.
An empty head does not mean a lack of thought;
it is the space left behind when certainty fades away.
A place where new possibilities can enter.
And right now, the most honest thing I can say is:
"I don't know yet."
