About this work
Under a sky of drifting blue-grey clouds, a rosy-cheeked girl stands in a green meadow and looks back over her shoulder, blowing a bubble, a red apple with a little face tied into her hair. Squashed red apples lie scattered across the grass. Thick oil brushwork in pink, apple red and fresh green feels like a return to a remembered childhood landscape.

As I wander through the corridors of memory, gazing once more at things that once belonged to me, I gradually realize that I have long since grown and moved beyond them. Through a pair of new eyes, I look back at the past, re-understanding their meaning and place, and within the flow of time, I perceive the traces of my own transformation and the distance between those traces.
