About this work
The Ace of Pentacles is a new opportunity and material beginning — the seed of abundance. CASIMIR reinterprets the card with his intricate, ornate linework and female figures, weaving together plants, symbols and esoteric imagery.
Turquoise hair crowns a young woman who holds one large coin before her chest, both forearms wrapped around its rim. Her white, cloud-like dress pours downward into a cascade of bubbles that runs to the bottom edge. Yellow rays burst outward across bands of green, orange and teal, and a meadow of small white flowers and red-dotted shrubs spreads below.
“Ace of Pentacles” is a limited-edition print by CASIMIR, 45.7 × 75.9 cm, edition of 100. View it in person by appointment at Neverland Gallery, Xinyi, Taipei.
