About this work
The Queen of Cups embodies empathy, compassion and deep intuition — tenderly caring for the feelings of others. CASIMIR reinterprets the card with his intricate, ornate linework and female figures, weaving together plants, symbols and esoteric imagery.

Tarot meaning
Upright: compassion, tenderness, intuition
Reversed: emotional dependence, oversensitivity
→ Tarot Minor Arcana meanings (Swords, Cups, Wands, Pentacles)

Enthroned, the blonde queen crosses one leg in dark stockings, two fingers touching her temple while her other hand steadies an ornate lidded golden cup. Behind her, within a large circle, a lavender-haired figure and a small child float as if asleep. Rivulets of gold run over the arms of the throne and pool on the floor, set against dense cobalt patterning.

“Queen of Cups” is a limited-edition print from CASIMIR's Tarot of Drifting Life (塔羅浮生) series, 45.7 × 75.9 cm, edition of 100 (50 released). View it in person by appointment at Neverland Gallery, Xinyi, Taipei.
