About this work
Across a bright mustard-yellow wall, a band of layered blues cuts diagonally through the picture, carrying a round red sign that reads 'FROMAGE', 'DANI' and 'DANISA'. Working in color on Korean paper with flat, segmented planes, Heejung Oh limits herself to orange, blue and red, turning a street-corner signboard into a composition of bold, high-contrast color.

This work belongs to my "Signboard" series, using only orange, blue, and red to create a vivid color combination. By limiting the palette to these three hues, the contrast is heightened, giving the piece a stronger visual impact.
