Taipei City Hall: Fubon Art Museum
The Fubon Art Museum opened in Xinyi in May 2024. It was designed by RPBW, the studio of Pritzker Prize laureate Renzo Piano, together with Kris Yao | Artech Architects. It is RPBW's first work in Taiwan and one of the three main buildings of the Fubon A25 complex. The museum focuses on modern and contemporary art under the motto "Art Every Day".
According to the museum, the building is conceived as an "urban forest", with generous greenery and a pond outside and soft daylight in the third-floor galleries. Take a moment outdoors after your visit.

- MRT (museum's access info): Taipei City Hall Station Exit 3, about 9 minutes on foot; Xiangshan Station Exit 1, about 11 minutes

- 1839 Contemporary Gallery: describes itself as a gallery dedicated to photography. B1, No. 120, Yanji St., Da'an Dist. (enter from Lane 126), 11:00–19:00 (closed Mondays); its website gives walking directions from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station Exit 2.
- Gallery de Sol: describes itself as an academic gallery grounded in art history research. 3F, Mandarin Oriental Boutique, No. 166, Dunhua N. Rd., Songshan Dist., Tue–Sat 13:00–21:00 (closed Mondays; Sundays by appointment), a good last stop of the day.
