About this work
In a lush green garden rendered in thick, textured brushstrokes, a girl with short brown hair and a pink dress reclines on a white lounge chair, hugging a yellow smiley-face ball, while more smiling faces surface in the grass and among the trees. Pinks, fresh greens and soft yellows create a dreamlike afternoon – joyful, yet tinged with a dazed uncertainty.

Choices made in moments of joy are often accompanied by the unknown and uncertainty. This work attempts to embrace this uncertainty and re-examine those decisions driven by happiness, exploring the hidden possibilities and risks within, as well as the subtle tension between emotion and rationality.
