Generally, adult corals do not move actively, but they do not stop. By accumulating calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), they turn time into shape, layer by layer.

Calcium carbonate is also a material I often use in my creations to create surface textures that resemble sedimentation and weathering.

Corals look like rocks, but they are alive. Beneath their hard surface is a continuously growing organism, where living and dead structures overlap, and present existence is built upon layers that have died in the past.

Just like the women I perceive, tough yet seemingly fragile, with scars beneath their beauty.
